Uz izložbu fotografija Josipa Lovrenovića „Putovanje u Srednju Bosnu“, Festival Krasopis, Tribalj, 27.-29. listopada 2023.

Prvo što se vidi na Josipovim slikama je prostranstvo i otvorenost. Krajolik koji se otvara u nedogled. A sve je dio krajolika: nebo, zemlja, prosuto mramorje po polju, pašnjaci, spomenici iz drugih vremenskih dimenzija. To se prostranstvo sastoji od mnoštva detalja. Ali tek na drugi pogled. Iz prostranstva beskrajnih detalja i potencijala izranjaju teme ovih fotografija. Na jednoj slici dominiraju čudesne formacije oblaka, na drugoj nas začaraju zelenila travnjaka, na trećoj kao da se stećak pozicionirao u centru pažnje.

Ljepota krškog krajolika, povijesne i kulturne karakteristike mjesta, privremena okrutnost klime u suši ljeta ili na zimskim vjetrima, sve je tu istovremeno. Lovrenovićeve slike pokazuju očiglednu eleganciju krajolika Srednje Bosne, kao i onu dublju ljepotu koja se razotkrije svakome koji je ikad boravio u takvoj prirodi. Izazivaju tu pogođenost i ganuće jednog prostora, pa je kao da stojiš na tim mjestima.

Slike izložbe „Putovanje u Srednju Bosnu“ imaju kontemplativnu kvalitetu. U promatraču se događa isto kao da gleda u površinu mora, ili u igru plamena vatre. S druge strane su i vrlo specifične. Kruže oko fenomena krajolika. Ove slike su nastale na zajedničkom putovanju s Ivanom Lovrenovićem  za knjigu „Ikavski zemljopis“ na tragovima prvog bosanskog putopisca Fra Ivana Franja Jukića koji je putovao pješke i na konju sredinom 19. stoljeća.

I premda snimljene u prolazu, u pokretu, na putu, Josip Lovrenović uspije uhvatiti kadrove s mirisom vječnosti. Ista vječnost koju prepoznajemo u samoj prirodi koja je uvijek tu, uvijek traje dok je čovjek u prolazu.

Slike su sadašnjeg trenutka, koji je prepoznat, konzerviran i sačuvan u fotografiji.

Za ovaj projekt je Josip Lovrenović i preuzeo ulogu ilustratora knjige u nastanku, pa je ponekad birao vrlo detaljne i predmetu bliske perspektive. Gledajući samo korpus slika ovog putovanja moglo bi se reći da je kompilacija blizine i daljine, prostranstva i uskog fokusa.

Ne mogu zamisliti bolju vizualnu prezentaciju za ovaj festival, za viziju projekta Krasopis. Pregled šire slike i njenih specifičnih detalja, stručne preciznosti i velika cjelina.

WHOLENESS IS A SEA OF DETAILS

Exhibition „A Journey through Middle Bosnia“ by Josip Lovrenović at the Krasopis-Festival, Tribalj, 27.-29. October 2023.

The first thing to see on Josip's pictures is vastness and openness. A landscape opening itself into infinity. And everything is part of the landscape: the sky, the earth, shed Mramorje on a field, grassland,memorials from other time dimensions. The vastness is made of a multitude of details. That's what you see on a second glance. Out of the vastness of endless details and potentials surface the themes of the photographies.In one picture dominate awesome cloud formations, in a second the deep green of meadows, in a third it's a stećak stone calling for attention.

The beauty of Karst landscapes, the historical and cultural characteristics of the place, the temporary hardship of climate in summer drought and winter winds, all is there in the same time. Lovrenović’s images show the obvious elegance of the landscape in Middle Bosnia, as well as the profound beauty that can discover anyone who ever stays in this nature. It provokes the affectedness and emotion of a space, and it’s as if you stood right there in the middle of thsee places.

The photographies of the exhibition “Journey through Middle Bosnia” have contemplational quality. The viewer experiences the same phenomenon as if he would look at the surface of an ocean or into the play of the flames of a fire. But on the other side they are quite specific. They circle around the phenomenon of landscape. These pictures were made on a trip with Ivan Lovrenović following the traces of the first travel writer of Bosnia Ivan Franjo Jukić in the middle of the 19. century.

And while they are shot on passage, in movement, on the journey, Josip Lovrenović manages to find cadres with the scent of eternity we find in nature itself, the nature that’s always there while people just pass by.

Pictures of the moment here and now, acknoledged, conserved and preserved in a photography.

For this project Josip Lovrenović took on the role of an illustrator of a book in progress, so he chose several quite detailed perspectives close to the object. If just look at the  collection of images made during the journey we could say that they are a compilation of closeness and distance, vastness and narrow focus.

I couldn't imagine a better visual presentation of this festival, of the vision of the project Krasopis.

An overview of the big picture and its specific details, of specialized expertise and the grand whole.

In other words: The conjunction of science and art.
